About Shine North...

Shine was founded by Elisabeth Murdoch in early 2001, and after rapid organic growth has entered the top ranks of UK production companies supplying television content to BBC, ITV, C4, five and Sky.
Shine creates and produces compelling and quality TV content in popular factual entertainment and drama.
Some of our key brands are Sugar Rush, Masterchef, Sex with…Mum & Dad, Gladiators. Project Catwalk and The Story of Light Entertainment.
Manchester’s Shine North first opened for business in 2006, with the factual entertainment series Sex… with Mum & Dad for BBC Three. The second series transmitted in January 2008 on BBC Three and MTV are currently transmitting a US version of the show.
In 2008 Shine North produced and transmitted Banged Up; a major new factual format for Channel Five, featuring the Rt. Hon David Blunkett MP.
Shine North’s success in factual formats has been equalled by studio entertainment formats. Not only with prime time award show, Britain’s Best 2008, but also the BBC quiz shows What Are You Like and Battle of The Brains.
With a host of successful formats already under our belt and a number of projects in development for both UK and US broadcaster, Shine North continues to deliver shows with a commitment to generating ambitious, bold ideas and delivering the highest quality entertainment.
