The C21Media's International Format Awards 2008 in association with FRAPA
The C21Media's International Format Awards in association with FRAPA are the first to see television programming judged by the entertainment community at large, not a small panel of experts.
Winners will receive a range of prizes including marketing packages for the shows through C21Media magazines and websites.
Entries are invited from programming first broadcast between July 2007 and October 2008. Other entry criteria are detailed in the entry terms and conditions.
All entries can be made through this site during August 2008 and September 2008. These entries will then be reviewed by C21 and the shows that make it to the online events stage judged online by C21Media.net's community of more than 30,000 International Entertainment Executives during September. The final scores will be collected during the first week of October 2008.
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at Mipcom in Cannes on Tuesday October 14 between 6pm and 7.30pm.
This is true peer recognition, and the only way to find and reward the best. These awards usher in a fresh spirit of democracy in the international entertainment business and also provide the opportunity for us to create rich content around the online event.
At an awards presentation ceremony during Mipcom in Cannes awards will be presented in the following categories:
Best studio-based gameshow Best competition reality show Best observational documentary/factual entertainment reality show Best sketch comedy Best scripted format Best multi-screen format IFA Gold Medal
The awards will be presided over by members of the FRAPA (Formats Rights and Protection Agency) board and C21.
The awards have a truly international platform, while the online screenings and voting element, and additional content that is to be built into the event, will provide the opportunity for a valuable discussion about how to respect creativity around the world.
C21Media's International Format Awards in association with FRAPA set a new standard in the international entertainment business.
